Terms of Service

SWP Hermes Backup is a private utility operated solely for its owner's personal backup use. It is not offered to the public or to third parties.

Purpose

The utility creates encrypted Hermes Agent backup archives, uploads them and their checksum files to a dedicated Google Drive account, verifies the uploaded files, and may enforce an owner-approved retention policy.

Account and data responsibility

The account owner remains responsible for the Google account, OAuth credentials, private recovery key, backup schedule, available storage, and disaster-recovery testing. The utility does not make Google Drive files public or grant access to other users.

Acceptable use

The utility may be used only with the owner's authorized Google account and only for lawful backup operations. Access may be revoked at any time through the Google Account security settings.

Availability

The utility is provided for personal use without a service-level guarantee. Backup status, checksums, upload verification, and periodic restore tests should be reviewed by the owner.

Changes

These terms will be updated if the utility's purpose or handling of Google user data changes.
